I think my first post here was enquiring about surround sound on Dreamcast and the consensus was that only NHL2K had Dolby encoded into the actual game.

Anyway, I persevered and today got in the post a Surround receiver with both Dolby Pro Logic and DTS Neo. These are codecs that turn a stereo signal into a very believable 5.1 surround sound. I scored an ex-demo model for a very reasonable price and am in the middle of setting it up as I post.

I suppose I could have bought a Ps3 or a 3DS but really my heart is still in the Dreamcast and the thought of playing my Dc collection in full surround sound was too much of a pull ! In the end I just couldn't resist lol

I'll finish setting it up later today and hopefully I can post my impressions tonight.
