So, I just received a very nice copy of Gigawing, pal version. I loaded it up watched the intro... set the amount of bombs and lives in the options menu, noticed the odd difficulty select options, a numbered system... Game loads... and I'm like yipee more dreamcast shmup action here I come... NO. INSTEAD IDIOTCOM DECIDED TO ENFORCE INFINITE CREDITS. THERE IS NO WAY TO LIMIT THE AMOUNT OD CREDITS! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!
So, I did not even bother playing through the game, no challenge, no point. What an idiotic thing to do, it completely neuters what looks to otherwise be a fine slice of shmup action. Gutted.
I wonder if gigawing 2 is similarly afflicted. Iv'e a mint copy of Gunbird 2 coming also... Seriously why play a shmup if there is zero challenge. Someone on facebook suggested that capcom did this because few if anybody completed Gigawing in the arcades, surely if one pumped enough coins into the slot...
