I found this awesome thing called the Wayback Machine. Basically, you enter in a web address, and then you'll be able to see what the website looked like as far back as 1996. Not only that, but you can interact with the website as if it was still up and running.
I decided to do this with the Sega website.
Welcome to Sega Online
I could tell this was when they were starting to get desperate to get money from their Saturn consoles, because it mentions in one of the pages that if you bought a Saturn, you'd get 3 games for free. That's insane!
Anyways, it's really interesting, and I recommend that you check it out. Of course, you could always go back to the website during the Dreamcast days.
But I won't give you a link.
Oh, very well. You get the Persistence Award.
Wayback Machine
Hint for the site from 1996:
At the home page, click on Sonic. On the next page, click on the Sonic inside the circle next to the names of the Sonic games. You will have found a series of pages telling you all about Sonic, and even some downloads and an interview with Yuji Naka!
You're welcome.
