Anybody heard of Teddy Rubskin? To refresh your memory, you might have seen a teddy bear with sunglasses that talks about snacks, movies, and the best of all, Sega Genesis games! Well if you have seen one, then it's most likely Teddy Rubskin. And you know what? He really is one of my favorite YouTubers. There's just a lot of things that make him stand out. I mean, come on, have you ever seen a puppet reviewing really awful movies? Well, except for those two puppets that took place of that guy that reviewed Ratatoing...w-whatever. The point is, he is an awesome guy, and if you haven't checked him out yet, you really should. He's a funny guy and one of the best Sega Genesis reviewers on YouTube. :)

But here's the point of this topic. Teddy LOVES Genesis. Heck, in his "Sega Genesis vs. Super Nintendo" video, he even said that it was better than the PS2, the XBox 360, AND the Atari 2600! He also loves Sega in general. To prove that, he got a Game Gear a few years back and thought it was really cool!

So, I thought I would suggest the Sega Dreamcast to him. Now, I'm pretty sure all of you DC-Talk people out there all know why I'm suggesting this to him. But for the fanboys of next-gen consoles like the XBox One and PS4, I will explain it to you. And maybe Teddy Rubskin, if he needs information and suggestion reasons.

I will give seven reasons why Dreamcast is a great system, with each reason represented by the 7 Chaos Emeralds (it's a little nerdy, but whatever).

1. It's a Sega console
As I mentioned before, Teddy loves Sega. And if Teddy loves the Genesis, then he will adore the Dreamcast. Plus, it has 3D adaptions of games that were previously on the Genesis, like Sonic and Phantasy Star.

2. The Games
The amount of groundbreaking games on the Dreamcast is endless. Sonic Adventure, Samba De Amigo, Ready 2 Rumble, NBA 2K, Monaco Grand Prix, Jet Grind Radio, Space Channel 5, Rez, Phantasy Star Online, Ecco the Dolphin, Chu Chu Rocket, Crazy Taxi, Toy Commander, Quake 3 Arena, Floigan Brothers, Seaman, SHENMUE...and the list goes on!

3. Burn games and play them easily
Did you know that you can burn Dreamcast CDIs on blank CD-Rs and play them on your Dreamcast without modding it? Unfortunately, burned Dreamcast games on CD-Rs kill the laser quickly, so it is not recommended. It is also illegal to burn a DC game onto a CD-R, unless you own a real copy and you are just burning a backup. Even though it will kill your Dreamcast's lase--okay, let's just move on.

4. Online capabilities
The Dreamcast was the first console to come with a modem right out of the box for online play. In fact, if you have an online-compatible game and you still use a dial-up connection, you could hook your Dreamcast up to the Internet using the modem and still be able to play online with a few people! Even better, there are phone numbers on the Internet that allow you to use a free dial-up connection in your area! There is also a proprietary broadband adapter for the DC for Ethernet connections, but this accessory is in high demand and is usually well over $200.

5. The VMU
The VMU (Visual Memory Unit) is the most unique memory card in the world. It goes into your controller, and whatever is on the VMU screen will show up inside the hole in the controller. This can be useful, because in Resident Evil for the PlayStation, you have to go to a menu to see your health status. But if you play Resident Evil games on the Dreamcast, the health shows up on the VMU screen. Very convenient. Even better, some games like Sonic Adventure have extra features where you can download minigames onto the VMU to play one the go! Since the VMU has a D-Pad and buttons, it is fully capable of it.

6. Cheap, affordable and not in high demand
The Dreamcast is very affordable these days, with prices ranging from $35-$80. Mine was a little overpriced, but it was really, really worth the hard-earned cash. Which leads me to my 7th and final reason...

7. It's a unique experience
The title says it all. The Dreamcast is a unique experience that no matter how long or how hard you search, you just won't find on any other console. It is so unique that I have no words to describe it. It needs to be seen to be believed. ;)

So, yeah. I hope Teddy himself notices this topic himself, and maybe decides to go out and get one. Like this if you agree with me.
