In its native Japan, did they get transparent controllers of various colors that DO NOT have any "Millenium 2000" text on the front of the controller?

The reason I ask is because I recently found and purchased a transparent smoke black controller with no "M 2000" on the face of the controller. Before I would assume that it was just a US variant controller, I quickly noticed that the back of the controller is also of a transparent clear plastic (something every OfficialUS colored controller lacks). Furthermore, the controller connector is of a standard white casing (like every US controller variant with exception of the Sports controller). Any info would be appreciated.
