Due to the release of the Dreamcast's New Dolmexica Engine made by Captain Dreamcast I had an idea to make a Fighting game kinda like Super Smash Brothers when i was younger but due to my limited skills in Programming i never got it off the ground. but now that this open source engine is available I can now put my idead into effect. My Idea is to put characters that appeared on the Dreamcast in one fighting game. But its no longer going to be Super Smash brothers style, due to the game engine being 2D and me no longer wanting that kind of gameplay. But i thought ill ask the Community as to which characters they would like to see in a crossover title.
Im in development stages as of now with Choosing 12 characters only. Thaats the best i can do because making so much woul be hard and making the game balance would be even harder. As of now i made a list of the characters I would like to use.
1. Nightmare (Soul Calibur)
2. Taki (Soul Calibur) But I'm Thinking to switch for Sophitia Due to me having another Ninja Female
3. Galuda (Power Stone)
4. Ryoma (Power Stone)
5. Ryo Hazuki (Shenmue)
6. Lan Di (Shenmue)
These two can now Finally Settle the Score.
7. Ein (DOA2)
8. Kasumi (DOA2)
Still thinking between Ayane, and kasumi. The reason i didnt Choose RYU is because one theres enough Characters with RY- in the beginning of their name and 2. One more ninja and im gonna barf.

This group id where i face my challenge of designing characters for a fighting game that has never been in one. and still keeping their style and appearance. And the Reason i chose RRR Tyrell. Is because she has a background and story that can give me ideas on how to design her. Instead of just using HUmar, RAmar, etc.
12. Akira Yuki (VF3TB) he has a moveset already which shouldnt be hard, but choosing the right ones for a 3 Fighting game is a challenge. along with making the characters from DOA2
Theres more ideas and other characters I had planned but i chose these because i felt they had a good transition to 2D. I had characters like Falcon Pride, and Gunrock, Oolala, Beat.
I'm trying to make the game feel and look genuwine, instead of a makeshift mugen.
So what would the community like to see in a fighting game?
