Open it, and sell it to Tom Nook. You will get 16,000 Bells! Repeat this process two more times, you will get in total 48,000 Bells! Then save and quit. Load up the game again, and you can get another 48,000 Bells! This can be repeated as much as you want, but remember, after you put it in three times, you have to save and quit. This also works with the other Station Models.

Ballon

On some days, you will see a balloon floating in the air with a present tied to it. Follow it until it gets stuck in a tree. If this happens, shake the tree to pop the balloon and the present will fall to the ground. Then, pick up the present.

Note: Most of the time it is furniture.

Be able to get stuff that you supposedly didn't win

Sometimes when entering passwords, Nook says that he regrets that you didn't win the "contest." Well, if you save, turn off the power and go back, try again and you probably will get whatever you wanted, but sometimes it takes more than once to work.

Be color coded

Place orange colored furniture in the North, yellow in the West, red in the East, and green in the South. This will give you certain bonuses. For example, the yellow furniture increases the amount of money you receive. The other colors have similar benefits, so be sure to follow this basic rule when constructing your house.

Bees into money

It's tricky and you have to time it right, but when you knock a beehive out of a tree get your net out and catch the bees. This is the most profitable out of all the insects in the game, worth 4500.

Catch A Living Fossil Fish

To catch the living fossil you must fish in the sea when its raining. You will know when its there because its the largest fish and is worth 15,000 bell to Tom Nook.

Catch a Shark

To catch a Shark do the following. When it is raining in November go to were the ocean meets the river from 6pm onwards keep running out of the acre and back in, scaring away all the little fish, until you see a huge shadow (about the size of the Coelacanth's). Cast out your line try to catch it. If you dont catch keep on trying. It is worth 20,000 bells if sold at Tom Nooks.

When it is winter you can find a stringfish. Note: Don't try to catch it in the sea.

Changing Date Easier

I know it gets annoying having to change the date when you are done with the day on Animal Crossing by opening up the Game Cube and waiting to get to the screen to change the date. Well just reset the game and when the game cube thing is moving, hold "A" and the game cube logo will move. Keep holding it and you will be at the screen even faster.

Duplicating items and money

This trick requires two Game Boy Advances and a link cable. Connect Game Boy Advance #1 to the Gamecube using your link cable and turn it on. Go to your island (located on the dock at the edge of the ocean). When you finally get to the island, drop off the item or money that you wish to duplicate. Leave the island. When Kapp'n asks if you want to save your island to your Game Boy Advance, select "Yes". After it is done downloading to your Game Boy Advance, you can put it in sleep mode, disconnect it, and set it aside. When you get back to your town, attach Game Boy Advance #2 and turn it on. Leave that screen then immediately return to it. Talk to Kapp'n to go back to your island. After you start leaving you can turn Game Boy Advance #2 off. When you get to your island, pick up the item that you left there then leave the island again. This time when Kapp'n asks you to save your island to your Game Boy Advance, answer "No". When you get back to your town, disconnect Game Boy Advance #2 and connect Game Boy Advance #1 (make sure it is not in sleep mode). Leave the screen and return. Talk to Kapp'n once more. Your island should upload from your Game Boy Advance. When you get to your island, your item will be there again and you will already have it in your pockets. Pick up your item from the ground. You now have two of them. This will also work with multiple items.

rejected because someone at Gamefaq's didn't actually bother reading the entire
FAQ to understand that this FAQ deals with problems that can crop up using
Action Replay codes in Animal Crossing, to the point that your town will be
unplayable or forever messed up until it's erased.

12/08/03: Updated the Introduction section a bit as to why I have some Action
Replay codes in this FAQ. It's still helpful to have a subset of the codes here
that ACTUALLY work properly for Animal Crossing and will not mess up your town.


1) Introduction

This FAQ is for helping out owners of the Action Replay device to avoid various
problems that would corrupt your town to the point that your town may crash at
random when visiting certain squares, grabbing or dropping certain items or
having garbage characters on your town bulletin/message board.

All too often I see many people having problems with the Action Replay and
Animal Crossing and not getting the help they need to AVOID corrupting town(s)
in the first place.

2) The Action Replay Codes

Here are the Action Replay codes that are recommended to avoid problems in your
town. Section 3 will explain how to better use these codes to avoid town
corruption or game freezing/locking, and resets.

*** IMPORTANT ***

These are the newest versions of the Animal Crossing codes from Codejunkies.com
DO NOT use these new codes with the old codes (old meaning the codes that came
on your Action Replay Disc) or you WILL definetly have odd behaviour and town
corruption. USE only these new codes and do NOT activate *ANY* of the old codes,
PERIOD.

These codes are also ones that were posted on Codejunkies.com website and on
other Action Replay sites. I have NOT listed all the codes here, simply because
the codes below when used together insure that your town's wishing well will NOT
be messed up to the point that no matter how many tree's or weed's you remove
the wishing well will still not say your town is fine.

*NOTE* For this new "(M)" code - what you need to do is edit the default (M)
code, enter in the new 2 lines of code, then save it. Start up your game with no
Animal Crossing Codes active, then save your town and quit. This will make a new

once or twice to play Animal Crossing.

Due to the way Animal Crossing works this code is essential to avoid having
Resetti popping up and reaming your ears out. :) After using this code for the
first or second time, Resetti may pop up the next time you load up your town
without the Action Replay, if he does just do what he says and or listen to him,
then save your town.

From that point on he should not pop up again.


Infinite Bells

This code is fairly long to input but it's worth it due to the fact that you can
basically purchase entire furniture sets from the catalog at any time of the
year in the game, including seasonal sets such as Harvest, Spooky, Jingle,
etcetera.


3) How to properly use the Action Replay Codes

Here is how to properly use the Action Replay codes in Section 2 to avoid
problems in your town with everything from random garbage/glitch items to random
town squares resetting your game etcetera.

.a) Paying off your house the safe way

For paying off your house mortages and fully expanding it the best way to do it
is to enable the Infinite Bells code and the Full Bank Account Code. Then, drop
or bury a *LOT* of 30,000 money bags outside in front of the 4 houses, inside
your house, etcetera. If your money bags happen to disappear due to grubby town
citizens :) then your bags will be in the Lost and Found for a few days.

Then save, turn off your GC, take out the Action Replay device from memory card
slot B and reload your town without the Action Replay being active. You can now
pay off Nook for the money he wants to upgrade your house. If you want, you can
talk to Nook, specify that yes you want the next house upgrade and what color
roof you want, save, adjust the time to one day ahead and repeat. It's a quicker
way unless you absolutely don't like time warping. Eventually you will come to
the last upgrade which is close to 800,000 bells.

If you need more money at this point to pay it off, save your town, reload the
Action Replay with the Infinite Money code, then save again, take out the Action
Replay device, reload your town, pay off that final amount, then save and go
ahead to the next day to see your statue in front of the train station. At this
point you can stay on the same day or if you so desire, set it to the real date
and time. You will still have your nice 2 story house with basement and the
statue, but you will have to tour your town to do some weed pulling.

.b) What can happen with time warping

Now at this point you are probably asking yourself "Why do I have to go through
all this to upgrade my house when I could just time warp with the codes
active?". Well, the reason you have to do this is because again of how Animal
Crossing works. There is a nasty glitch that happens when you have the Action
Replay active and start time warping with Animal Crossing codes active. The
glitch most often shows itself on the bulletin/message board in the form of what
your town characters bury in random town squares.

As a example we all get used to seeing our characters bury things like various
items, furniture, you name it. It will say "So and so item or what not was
buried in one of the blah blah acres or in this square (IE C5 or A1 as a
example). When you start time warping with Animal Crossing codes active, the
game chracters starts burying garbage/glitch items that will permanetly corrupt
or glitch your town. You could see a message like "So and so has buried (garbage
characters) in acre C5.

What will happen is when you go to C5, Animal Crossing might reset on you the
second you walk into C5 and show you the Nintendo title screen, therby losing
everything you did beforehand. When this glitch happens you are permanetly
locked out of that square. This is because the game found a garbage item it
wasn't expecting to be buried in the first place and therby resets itself.

You may be able to find the hole in the ground and dig up the item in C5 if the
above glitch doesn't happen, only to have the game reset or you will end up with
a weird looking fish item that once dropped outside can be walked over, but not
dug up or picked up. It would stay there as a permanent outside ornament in your
town.

So in a nutshell, do not time warp with Action Replay codes active - stick only
to the SAME day when using the codes, otherwise you will have a permanetly
messed up town in various square(s).

.c) Gullivers Glitches

Yet another glitch happens with Gulliver when any Action Replay codes are
active. If you happen to run across Gulliver laying down on the shore of your
beach, DO NOT TALK TO HIM with the Action Replay active. You can of course save
and take out the Action Replay hardware from slot b, then go back and see if he
is still there, then wake him up.

The reason you do not talk to him with the Action Replay code(s) active is
because Gulliver, once you wake him up will hand you a glitch/garbage item that
has the potential to reset your game, mess up your inventory, or appear as a
item with no name that once dropped, will just disappear or perhaps even cause a
reset glitch in the square you found him as well.


4) Miscellaneous

This is more of a question and answer section to the most common questions
people might have when using Action Replay codes.

Q: Help! I loaded up my game and now I see weird looking black dots on the grass
squares when I leave my house!

A: This is just a very minor visual glitch that happens sometimes when you load
up your town with the Action Replay. It is only a visual glitch and will not
affect your towns saved data in any way. If it really bugs you, then save and
reload your game again with the Action Replay. Sometimes this glitch may even
happen WITHOUT the Action Replay loaded.


Q: Help! I am suddenly seeing garbage characters on some bulletin board messages

A: Read Section 3.b for a detailed explanation of why this happens and how to
avoid it.

Fiddle Pause Screen Background

To change the pause screen background, grab a shirt that you want for the background. Move it to the bottom-right hand corner (not the section where the letters are stored) and move it down once. It will go into a blank area,and when you press A, the background will change.

You must do this at 2:00 am in June (or some month around it). Then, keep checking around all the acres(he's invisible so check all around) and you will find him! You need to catch all 5 spirits with your net for him to: Pull weeds, give you something, and something else.

Frequently visit the wishing fountain. You must fix all tasks it asks of you ranging from cleaning up the garbage to making areas more green. Get a consistently good ranking on your town from the wishing well for 15 days and you will be rewarded with the golden axe.

First grab some fruit then hop on the train. Once you get to the other village sell the fruit for 400 bells more. Then grab some more fruit in that town. Then go back to the first town and sell all the fruit. You will get a lot more money this way!

How To Transport Items

To transport items pick them up and travel to a different town. Once there you must either drop the item on the ground or use the shovel to bury it in the ground. Then go back home and save. Come back on the other Memory Card and get the item put it in your house. This is great for moving your belongings to a different town.

Huge Hint

Hint: if you plan on planting any fruit trees, money trees, or golden shovel trees, have a huge area cleaned off of trash, and plants. your trees will grow better and your town will be cleaner.

Hint #2: the prettier your town the more visitors you will have in your town.

Hint #3: at the Able sisters in your town if you make too many designs you can save them at the store.

Keep Thugs Out!

Do you have annoying Brothers or sisters that sneak around your house? If you want them to stay out of your house, buy a wheitbench or a bed. Then go in your house. After the wood part of the entrance, drop the bed. Now only you can hop over it and no one else can get in.

Legend of the strangers

There are 4 people who are quite weird.

Brutus: A purple mean guy, usually a dog, bull dog, or a hippo.

Lucky: A dog wrapped up like a mummy. There is a cut in the wrap, which reveals his... creepy... yellow... glowing... eye!!!

Ribbot: A frog robot.

Sprocket: Like ribbot, except a chicken (I think) instead of a frog.

Money trees

1. Find a spot in the ground that's glowing and dig it up. You'll get 1000 bells but instead of keeping it, bury again in the same hole and a money tree will grow.

2. Sometimes in your town you will see some sort of yellow come out of the ground. Use your shovel and dig it up. you will get 1,000 bells! So then, bury money in and a few days later it will grow into a money tree!

Note: This trick is very hard to do because it mostly dies out.

Mr. Resetti and Don

If you start a game after resetting the GameCube during play, Mr. Resetti will appear to complain. Repeatedly reset the GameCube to make him more and more angry. Eventually, Mr. Resetti's brother Don will appear to take the place of Mr. Resetti.

This is what happens corresponding with the number of times you reset:

1: The first time, he will go "easy" on you and warn you not to reset again.
2: He'll come back and is slightly angry, no harm done.
3-6: He'll be ticked off, watch out, you may get lucky and he'll do this for the max 3 times in the stage.
7: Don his brother takes his place. He is nice but don't let him fool you, Mr. Resetti will come back if you reset again.
8-60. Ok, here’s when it gets funny, he'll sometimes ask you to write a note, and sometimes he'll make the screen go blank for a few seconds.
Your last offence, number 61: He makes sure that no one resets again! He makes almost everyone who lives in your town move up. Its rather funny, and they can't move back for about a week. When they do come back they don't want be near you. You are shunned for a about a month.

In animal crossing you can get old NES games, including mario bros, ice climbers, tennis, donkey kong and others.You can play them at the GCN and the GBA. You can get games at theses ways. This cheat is easy, no code or anything! to make your clothes shiny go to "The able sisters" Tailor shop and talk to Mabel then pick "Design clothes" Choose a colour or a pattern or a blank (in which you make a pattern on it) then all you do is put lots of white dots on it! Its SO simple! It looks very fashionable! I love how its perked up my clothes!

Password Tips

If you ever use passwords you know that you can only put in 3 a day, but you can get everything that you want using codes in one day. After you use all 3 passwords possible for one day, go to your Gyroid and save. Then choose Save & Quit, then when it reloads the title screen log back in on the account the stuffs in and go back to the passwords in Nook's store and you are able to put more in. This is helpful when using the 30,000 Bells code over and over to pay something off. Also, that way you can win even more points on the Happy Room Academy.

Speed it up

During any given day you can run out of things to do or buy. So here's a solution: Save your current game, then turn the GC off. Open the lid and turn the GC on so the main GC menu comes up. Go into the calendar and change the date and/or time to whatever you want. Then close the lid and start the game. It will now be that time/day in the game and you have new stuff to buy and things to do. This works great with Halloween and "Toy Day" (Christmas). You can then switch back to the regular day and time without fault.

Stop The Waiting

When Tom Nook collects enough money he upgrades his store. When he does this the store is closed for a day. Now if you hate being on the wrong day and time (or if it is a special day) on animal crossing you can do this...Go to your Giroid and save and quit. Then before you start the game again select Before I Go and select Other Things. Then select Set Clock change it to the next day and start the game. When the game has stared go to Tom Nooks ne shop and sell something (ex: fruit) then Save and Quit and chage the clock to the real day and time. After when you go to Tom Nooks shop it will be finished.
