Need some help here

So. i was playing New super mario bros wii. then my controller stopped working in the middle of nowhere, then i couldnt turn it back on but luckily i had a 2nd controller. any idea on how to fix it? ive had the controller for over 11 years and it never did anything like that.

Sounds like you might need a new controller then, it failed from the sounds of it.
