Sure, streaming, television, and video recording are great features to have in a console platform. They aren’t what gets you to open your wallet and bring home an expensive piece of gaming hardware. We’ve heard your pleas. You want games.
That’s why we’ve put together a quick rundown of the games to look forward to. We'll continue to update this list, and if you see something missing, please let us know. Here is everything we know that's planned for the PlayStation 4 in 2014.

Octodad: Dadliest Catch - April 22
The absurd premise of Octodad puts players in the role of a married Octopus just looking to fit in with human society.
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 - April 29
Beenox’s latest movie tie-in pits Peter Parker against a host of new foes.
Daylight - April 29
This terrifying PS4 (and PC) game from Zombie Studios promises to be a thrilling experience. It will also feature integration with Twitch that will give chat participants the ability to influence the game with a variety of effects.
Child of Light - April 30
Ubisoft’s Ubi Art Framework is a flexible engine that has, so far, only given birth to the most recent Rayman titles. Child of Light will take the toolset in another direction with RPG gameplay and a watercolor aesthetic.

MLB 14 The Show - May 6
The new-gen version of Sony’s popular baseball simulation needed a bit more time to bake, but it’s looking to be worth it. Be sure to check out our review of the PS3 version.
Bound by Flame - May 9
Focus Home Interactive has promised that Bound by Flame won’t be easy. The RPG might be looking to capitalize on the Dark Souls phenomenon, but this game from Spider Studios doesn’t look like a clone.
Transistor - May 20
Supergiant stole our hearts with Bastion, and with the same team, narrator, and composer on board, Transistor might just do the same. The gameplay is one part action, and one part Fallout 3-style tactics.
Wolfenstein: The New Order - May 20
Machine Games’ take on the classic shooter franchise contains a number of series trademark elements (overcharging health, secret rooms, hidden Nazi gold). Our previews indicate a stronger focus on character and plot, not to mention a cool alternate history setting.

Watch Dogs - May 27
Ubisoft’s delayed open world hacking adventure will finally be released in late May. Has it benefitted from the extra time? We’ll know soon.
Murdered: Soul Suspect - June 3
Airtight Games’ supernatural murder mystery is a more linear affair than what contemporary gamers are used to. However, lots of side content and a compelling story could make this a winner.
EA Sports UFC - June 17
EA’s first MMA title since acquiring the license from THQ in 2012 will be out soon. The publisher has announced that Bruce Lee will be included as a pre-order bonus.
Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark - June 24
Two different Transformers universes collide as the movie versions of the Autobots and Decepticons encounter their Cybertron series versions. Is this the successor to Fall of Cybertron we’ve been waiting for?
The Elder Scrolls Online - June TBD
Bethesda’s first MMO successfully launched on PC on April. Console fans will get their hands on it this summer.
