A long time ago I updated my PSP 1000 with 1.50 to 3.52 M33 which sort of ruined my PSP. Now after a few years(?) or so I want to start getting my PSP to work again with the latest 6.39 CFW which seems to work great for my friend.

Except I am not sure how to get there step by step as I am sort of a newbie at things like this... and my friend is not much of a help either. Do I downgrade back to 1.50 and then upgrade to 6.39 and then with the CFW? I tried downgrading using this guide: http://psp3d.com/getting-started-hel...very-menu.html However when I run the EBOOT.PBP through the Recovery menu, the screen just turns black and shuts down... When I start up the PSP again I am back at 3.52 M33 Version. I am having the same "crashing" Issues when I try to launch certain games. Only game that sort of work is Silent Hill.

Am I doing something wrong? Is there an alternative solution? Is there a way to instantly upgrade from 3.52 M33 to the latest CFW?
