My system (was official) tells me it's 6.20 PRO-B6 but I'm having trouble understanding how this CFW works apart from that you have to activate it each time to make it realize it's CFW...

Using this CFW can I update to a new CFW? Or will I remain at this point? It's not for pirating games (don't like PSP games) but I was hoping to use some non-sony friendly apps and change up the XMB some.... Can anyone help me? I've also been out of the loop for a year or so :(
