ALWAYS use "normal" disc load speed. There is little to no difference between "fast" and "normal". "Fast" will freeze alot of games.

I came asking for help a while ago about FF4 for PSX, saying it froze soon after seeing Golbez for the first time and no one seemed to know what the problem was. Well, i played all 3 hours over again cause i was curious after the same thing happened in Star Ocean 2 after that tidal wave hit the port and I finally tried changing disc-load speed to normal. So, yeah, I was able to get past that point in FF4. No reason to have FF4 complete collection or 6.35 now :D
