I just found my old fatboy psp. It hasnt been updated in ages. A friend who modded my psp has since moved away and I am sorry if this is a stupid question.

I am running firmware 5.50 Gen-D. I can run any of my old programs, but I am looking at updating my library of games. Will 5.50 Gen-D run these newer games, or do I need to update the firmware? If so, then which one? I see a lot of new versions of firmware, but I have no clue what i am doing. Any help with this would be greatly appricated.
