Default Super Mario All Stars Cheat Codes (for Super Nintendo)

    Super Mario Bros.

    Make Koopa Troopas

An ideal place to try out this weird glitch is World 6-1. Go to a small brick thingy at the bottom of the screen. Scroll this all the way to the left, then go back. When Lakitu drops a Spiny, go up and hit the brick above you. The Spiny will turn into a Koopa shell.

Since Spinys survive hits from below...

Get on the brick wall in 4-2

This glitch gets you on the brick wall in 4-2. Go to world 4-2. Jump the pits until you get to the first mushroom encased in a brick. Get it. Jump on top of the brick you got the mushroom out of and punch the 3 or 4 bricks above you. Move to the right until one-half of the space from the punched bricks is shown. Now move to the left, where the space is from the punched bricks. Try to jump up the space and you will be suspended in between the bricks to right of the space and where the screen ends to the left. This is a nifty trick to get on top of the wall a little early and to avoid the 3 goombas below.

    Reset the high scores

    Press A + B + L + R on the title screen to reset the high scores.

Green Mushroom RE: Super Mario All Stars

Super Mario Bros. The Lost Levels

    Reset the high scores

    Press A + B + L + R on the title screen to reset the high scores.

    Worlds A through D

Play through worlds 1 through 8 without using a warp zone. Worlds A through D and the end of the game are after world 9.

    Fireworks

Grab the flagpole when 2, 5, or 7 appear as the last digit of the time remaining for fireworks.

    Extra life

Accumulate coins until the total is a multiple of 11. Grab the flag pole when the last digit of the timer matches the multiple for an extra life.

    Lots of extra lives

Begin the game as Mario. Walk towards the first set of bricks that are floating in mid-air with a Koopa Troopa walking inside. Hit the "?" block to release the Mushroom. Bounce the Mushroom over the last block to take it, but do not bounce out the Koopa or scroll the screen past the first few brick columns. Break the second and fourth bricks, leaving the Koopa jumping on the fifth brick. Stand on the empty "?" block. Hop on the Koopa. Mario will begin bouncing on the Koopa shell, eventually collecting a large number of extra lives.

    Bowser and the clock

If you defeat Bowser right when the time clicks 0, you will get points for 999 seconds, 50,000 points.

    World 9

To get to World 9, you must not warp at all, and you must not choose "Save and quite." You can choose "Save and continue."

    Beating Bowser with fire power

If you beat Bowser with fire power, the thing that he turnes into will depend on what Level you are at.

    Warp zones

World 1-2: Move right to reach the second pipe. The warp to World 3 is near this location.
World 1-2: Jump over the exit pipe of this stage and walk over the ceiling. Keep moving right to find the Warp Zone to world 2.
World 1-2: Jump over the exit pipe of the stage and go down the next pipe. From here, move all the way to the right. Move over the top of the screen to find a warp to World 4.
World 5-1: Move right until reaching two brick platforms in mid-air (immediately before a large brick wall). The far right brick in the upper platform has a vine. Jump off a flying Koopa Paratroopa to reach it and climb to the warp to World 8.
World 5-2: Move right, past the first two upside-down pipes until another hanging pipe appears. Move right and find a big brick object next to some elevators. Use the elevators to hit the farthest right brick in the stack to release a vine leading to a warp to World 7.
World 8-2: The third upright pipe is a warp to World 5-1.

    Super Mario Bros. 2

    Neat stuff with doors

Doors act as checkpoints. When you die, you will restart from the last door you went through. How to take advantage of this is for you to find out...

    Beating Wart

To beat Wart easy, just have princess grab a veggie and jump to the high ledge that is in front of Wart. You can jump and let her glide behind Wart. Here you are safe from Wart (unless you run into him). When his mouth opens, just throw the veggie in and watch him suffer. You can jump over Wart and grab another veggie. Keep repeating the process and he'll be dead in no time!

    Princess Peach tip

Princess Peach comes in handy for making the game easier such as in Level 5-1 or her glide helps her skip harder parts of worlds such as in Level 3-2.

Warp from World 5-3 to World 7-1

You have to have Luigi to be able to make it to this warp. After you climb the ladder into the level, super leap to the top platform, and use the potion to go in the warp door and down the pot. This leads to world 7.

    Warp to World 5

In Word 3-1 after you go through the first door, jump off the ledge and you will come to a door. Go in there and find the magic potion and put it on top of the tunnel. When you go in the door, go in the tunnel. It is a warp to World 5.

    Warp to World 4

In World 1-2 when you get the potion, don't use it until the end of the level. When you get to the pipe after the door, use it. While your in the other dimension, go down the pipe and you will be warped to World 4.

    Warp to World 7

In World 4-1 when you get the potion hold on to it. While passing through the level you will come across a little island with a pipe in the middle of it witch you can't reach. Keep going right, then drop down on the whale and go left until you get to the pipe. Do the same thing and you will be warped to World seven.

    Restart the level

Pause the game and press L + R + Select to restart the level.

    World 1-1 1up trick

In World 1-1, if you don't get the 1up by the POW block, you can get it at the middle plant, to the left to entrance to the short cut to Birdo on the top platform.

    World 1-2 Princess trick

In World 1-2, if you are the Princesses you can jump all the way to the top of the platform that is way above the door. When on the magic carpet, push right the whole time, then when it is about to disappear, jump to the right as far as you can go, and you should land on the top platform.

These tips will also work on the NES Super Mario Bros. 2.

    Super Mario Bros. 3

    Alternate Bowser

If you take a P-wing to Bowser's castle, and manage to keep it up to the door that leads to Bowser, DON'T GO IN! Instead, fly while ducked to the statue above- left of the door. Go in the space that is between the Bowser statue and the ceiling. Now, stand up, and you will move through the wall into another room. You will find another door that will lead to an alternate Bowser. If you try the trick again, you will end up stuck in the wall until time runs out.

Tricks to become a Grey/Gold Hammer Bros

This is a useless trick, but very interesting. Here's what you do. I forget the exact World where it can be done, but it needs to be done in a level that has a giant block that yields a Hammer Bros. suit. You must first get to this room with the Tanooki Suit on. Now, Hit the block, and turn to stone. As the Hammer Bros. suit bonces around, if it hits you when you are turned to stone, you will be a gray Hammer Bros. guy. The only problem, is you can now not enter the pipe. You are stuck in this room, but it's still pretty neat. I think that Mario All-Stars took advantage of this, because if you do this in this game's version of SMB3, you become a Gold Hammer Bros. It is also possible to do the same thing with the Frog and Tanooki (I think, although I'm not positive on the Tanooki) suits, but only in the All-Stars version. This is because there is no way to have a Tanooki Suit that early in the game (World 3, where you would find Frog Suits in the big blocks) except in the All-Stars version, which lets you go to any world with your current inventory. Just go to World 3 with a Tanooki Suit in your inventory and find a level with a Frog Suit in a big box. This gives you a gray Frog suit, BTW, and the thing about not being able to go in the pipe is still true. I haven't experimented with the Tanooki Suit, so I couldn't give a real description (although it might have, and don't remember. In that case, it's a gray Tanooki suit).

    World 1-4 P-Wing

In World 1-4, you can get a P-Wing by getting every coin in the level.

    Whistle locations

In World 1-3 near the end of the level you will find a white block. Go on top of of it and duck for a long time. Within 10 seconds or so you will disappear behind the block. Start running to the end of the level and you will disappear behind the black part. You will go into a room with toad and in the treasure box you will find a whistle.

In World 1-Fortress at the end of the first part don't go through the door. Get flying speed and fly up against the right wall before the door. Fly up on top. Note: You won't be able to see yourself. Run to he right and at the end press up on the D-Pad. You will go into a room and find the whistle.

In the second world when you get your hammer do not use it until you get to the end. At the very top right corner, if you brake away one of the rocks on the right side you can get a whistle and some other stuff to.

    Swim under the huge ships

When you get to the 8th World, it is easier to swim in under the ship to pass the level.

    Get stuff over again

After saving the game, you can go back and get the stuff again, like the P-Wings, whistle's, and anchor's. You can also go back and get extra lives again.

    World 4-4 pipe trick

In World 4-4, you can go into the first pipe with out being a frog. Stand on the Power-Up block. From there, walk off to the left, keep pushing left, and when you are all the way in the water, push the jump button once, and keep going towards the pipe. It might take more than one try.

Super Mario Bros 3 Debug info

The original NES SMB3 cartridge had a "debug mode", accessible by Game Genie code KKKZSPIU. After entering this mode, you can press SELECT ato alternate between the different Mario versions. You could hold down the A or B buttons to toggle Kuribo's (Goomba's) Shoe.

When SMB3 was remade in All-Stars, this infamous "Select code" managed to elude the programmers and snuck into some copies of the game. If you are the lucky owner of one of these SMAS carts, it works the same as the NES version, only you use X or Y to toggle the shoe.

Thanks to the Mushroom Kingdom for this info.
