Brands of TVs that do not recognize the DC's VGA signal?

I know that some modern TV's with VGA ports cannot recognize the DC's vga signal for various reasons, such as the resolution being too low.

Are there any particular brands that this is associated with? (IE: Sony TVs)

I'm looking to buy a TV this weekend and would like to have an idea of brands to avoid while I look. I figure it would be awkward to carry my dreamcast into the store to test for myself ;) (although if I were a well known youtube personality, I would totally film myself doing this)
