Help with 5.00M33-6

Hi i haven't been using my PSP for over a year and now am starting to get back to it.

I have a PSP-2001 the silver slim one the first batch of slim PSP released.

And i am at a crossroads and do not know what should i do should i say on this firmware? I tried to install prothemus -4 for 5.00m33 but when i start a ISO game i get a red screen.

Or should i upgrade to a newer CFW?

Let me know what you guys think, Thanks.
