The sheer number of DC games that only allow you to save to the VMU in port 1 socket A is ridiculous. This even impacts some games by well known creators who should have known better, such as Capcom and Infogrames - and it affects games produced years into the DC's life when the game companies doubly should have known better.
I don't want to keep shuffling my VMUs around, it's not necessary. And plugging and unplugging from the controller while the console is on is somehow supposed to be bad for them too... This whole thing is exaccerbated by the fact that the VMU doesn't hold that much space when certain games require a game save that is over 1/4 or even close to 1/2 of the total memory on the VMU! This is just sheer laziness on the part of the game programmers.
