I did the power board pins fix to solve the random reset issue. I pushed the pins until I heard a small cracking sound. They didn't come loose and the console works just fine (it can actually play games again). I have it unplugged because I am afraid to leave it plugged in since I adjusted those pins (as well as removing and then re-inserting the power board). A recent news story about a Wii catching on fire doesn't help matters. Am I right to be nervous?

PSA: we do not support cheating for online/mobile/multiplayer games, which may include trainers,
mod menu's, Exploits, Hacks, Tools & Macros, Bots and so on. (we do allow the posting of such for offline/single player games hoewever, online and multiplayer games is where we draw the line. Phone apps/games for example typically offer a storefront to purchase ingame currency for example; whether it's singleplayer or not, in such games, the aforementioned is not allowed.)
