New Smash Bros. 'will use 3DS/Wii U link as central axis'

Series creator says just making the next entry bigger isn't good enough.
Nintendo has been very quiet on Smash Bros. Wii U since the game was originally confirmed in June last year, but now that franchise creator Masahiro Sakurai has wrapped up work on Kid Icarus: Uprising he's getting a little chattier.
