PSP model 1000 freezes when accessing anything in settings.

So I followed this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r8rjgPXw-kk and everything works fine except when accessing any option in settings. The system freezes and shuts down. Any way of fixing that?

Edit: When I boot into the official firmware holding the Home button I can access the options in settings.

Edit2: Ok I just tried Pro-B8 and it's the same problem. Btw is Pro-B8 supposed to be better than the ME ones?
