PSP Power Off

I am rather annoyed by this issue.
It's whenever I have to turn off my power like any other PSP user.
I hold the power switch for about 5 seconds or more, which should always power it down, but instead it goes into sleep mode just about every time.
And I have to go to my VSH Menu to manually shut it down, and if all else fails then I yank out the battery.
I run on 5.50 Prome-4 CFW
How do I shut down normally??
