psp wont power on

Hi all
were do i start??

well my son battery was going flat on so he turned off psp
so he grabed his charger powered it back on
and and all he gets is the orange light iv tried 2 diferent batterys and 2 different chargers still the same iv removed the memmory card but if i leave it all unpluged for a couple of hours then plug the charger in without the battery sometimes it goes to the time and date screen but i cant do anything.

i believe it needs reflashing..
