Game designer Yuji Naka expresses interest in returning to work on hardware.

Yuji Naka, the creator of the 'Sonic the Hedgehog' series and 'Ivy the Kiwi?' expressed interest in returning to work on hardware. Speaking to CVG today, Naka said, "I'm hoping to work on Dreamcast 2."

"I do miss those old days when I was heavily involved in hardware making at Sega. I was involved in most of the consoles and controllers that Sega came up with," said Naka after promoting his latest title, Ivy the Kiwi.

It seems that Naka pictures himself in the role of an advisor, saying "If I have the opportunity in the future I want to be involved again with hardware making. It would be ideal if I could become some sort of advisor working with the platform makers in the future."

"If 'Ivy the Kiwi?' does well in Europe then maybe I can make Dreamcast 2,' joked Naka. But even if he's joking a little, it still seems clear that Naka still really, really, really wants to work on the Dreamcast 2. He continues, hammering the point home again: "Of course Dreamcast was my baby back at Sega and I want to carry on making good games for the European market and one day I'm hoping it gives me the opportunity to work on Dreamcast 2."

Phone apps/games for example typically offer a storefront to purchase ingame currency for example; whether it's singleplayer or not, in such games, the aforementioned is not allowed.)
