Strange UMD problem..

Hi, I own a PSP 3004......I havent been using my UMD's lately (for over 6 months now)....but now when i try to play a game with my UMD, the UMD options is not diplayed in the XMB
- When I insert a UMD and close the door, (if i move my ear to the drive), I hear the disk spinning but only for a few seconds (1-4 seconds)
- As long as the UMD is in the drive the busy symbol is always there at the bottom right corner of the screen (the animated circle)
- The UMD sometimes works once in every 15 tries

Can anybody help me?.....

*Edit*: Also if i keep the UMD in the drive long enough I get the error "The disc could not be read.
