Updated to 6.38 ME for Phats, Gen-D3 save files don't work. How to fix?

I upgraded my cfw from 5.50 Gen D3 to 6.38 ME... but now my save files from Gen-D3 don't work... I can see that it's based on m33 and that's most likely the reason, but is there any way to fix this?

I'd like to stick to the latest cfw but I have about 170 hours on my DBZ Tag save file lol... I don't want that to go to waste.... lol
