updating CFW corrupts game saves?

cfw corrupts game saves updating

I just went from 5.50 gen-d3 to the 6.20pro CFW and all of my game saves are corrupt. I backed them up on my PC but when I load them back on to my PSP the games still all say that the data is corrupt and I have to start a new game.

Is there no way to keep my game saves? Hundreds of hours of game play lost.. starting to think I should have just stayed on the CFW I had.

Help if you can.
