Why won't my paused games stay removed on my PSP Go in the XMB?

When I use the pause game feature in any game on my PSP Go, and if I try to delete the paused game from the XMB, it will appear again if I restart the device or play a game and go back to the XMB. Any way to keep the paused game permanently removed?

PSP Go, firmware 6.20 Pro-B8 Perm
