Hardware Connection:
You'll need a Mini USB to USB cable to connect your PSP to your PS3 controller. Ensure your PSP is charged or connected to a power source while doing this.
Software Setup:
Your PSP firmware (CFW 5.50 GEN-D Prom-4) allows you to use Remote Play, a feature that can stream your PSP screen to your PS3. However, it may not work perfectly with the latest PS3 firmware, and there might be some compatibility issues.
Make sure both your PSP and PS3 are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
Remote Play (PSP to PS3):
On your PSP, navigate to the "Remote Play" option.
Follow the on-screen instructions to connect your PSP to your PS3. Your PS3 should be running the latest firmware.
Once connected, you should be able to control your PSP with the PS3 controller. However, keep in mind that not all PSP games may be compatible with Remote Play, and the experience might not be perfect for all games.
Display on TV/Laptop:
To display your PSP screen on your TV, you can connect your PS3 to the TV via HDMI, and when you use Remote Play, the PSP screen will be mirrored on the TV.
If you want to display it on your laptop, you can use video capture software on your laptop to capture the HDMI signal from your PS3. There are various software options available for this purpose, such as OBS Studio or Elgato Game Capture software.
Controller Configuration:
Your PS3 controller should work seamlessly with the PS3 and PSP while using Remote Play.
Please note that the quality of the Remote Play experience and compatibility with specific games may vary. Additionally, since your PSP is running custom firmware, it might have additional homebrew applications or plugins that can enhance your gaming experience, but those would require further research and installation.
Lastly, make sure you're complying with all applicable laws and regulations when using custom firmware or homebrew software on your devices.
