Upgrading to 5.50 D-3

Hi,

I just got my psp yesterday and it has 5.00 m33-6 on it right now. I wanna update it to 5.50 D-3.

When I update will it format my memory card and I will lose all my games on it?



Edit: Accidentally posted in wrong section, can a mod please move it to help section for me.
